Collection of Information

E-Mail Lists

Actum maintains email lists to keep interested parties informed about our company, events, products, support, and more. They allow us to track how many people opened our emails. We do not sell the addresses on our list. To be removed from our mailing list, simply click the unsubscribe link provided within each email.

Personal Information

Merchant Originators. We do not collect personal information from merchants unless you provide it to us in conjunction with an application for an Actum Processing account or any other service we offer. The information collected such as your name, company name, financial account information (e.g. bank account information), social security number, email address and phone number, is used for the underwriting, approval and set up required for the service you request. We do not license, sell, rent or trade any collected business information about your account or other personal information unless you request it, the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you, or the disclosure is otherwise lawfully permitted or requested. We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy.

Receivers (consumers and businesses). Actum uses Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to gather your data from financial institutions on behalf of our merchant clients. By using the Service, you grant Actum and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from your relevant financial institution; and you grant Actum the right, power, and authority to share this information with Actum merchant clients.  You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid end user privacy policy.

We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

In certain situations, Actum may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We may also disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. If Actum is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information, to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.

Actum does not market to or solicit data from minors. The services we provide are for businesses with owners and principals 18 years of age or older. At Actum, we value keeping information private and secure. Actum is a member of the BBB (Better Business Bureau) Online Reliability Program.
