How Transaction Fees Are Calculated
Transaction fees are based on the pricing outlined in the Exhibit B. In this case, please review your Exhibit B.
First, the following formula calculates the costs for each individual debit transaction:
(Per Debit Fee x Total # of Debits) + (Total $ Amount of DebitsxDiscount Rate %) = Total Fee
On the other hand, the following formula calculates the costs for each individual credit transaction:
Pre-Credit Fee x Total # of Credits = Total Fee
However, for merchants on a Rolling Reserve, this formula calculates the amount of reserve taken:
Total $ Amount of Debits x Rolling Reserve % = Total Rolling Reserve
Important: Fees and Reserves are taken out of the payouts.
Additionally, our portal provides specific, itemized breakdowns of transaction fees during a specific time. To view this information, please follow these steps. Alternative, you can view your fees with your Merchant Receipt as explained in another entry.
Merchant Transaction Fees
- 1. First, log into our reporting portal at https://reports.actumprocessing.com.
- 2. Next, head to the Reporting drop down menu and left click on Merchant Transaction Fees.
3. Once the page loads, you may choose a different time frame, such as this month, last month, year-to-date (YTD), or a specific month. After choosing the time frame, left-click on Submit Query.
4. Various categories will appear on the page. You may expand the fee categories to view the different fee types assessed during this time frame.
